Back in the Day

When we were kids we always tried to grow-up but now that we are smack dab in the middle of being grown up it seems we try to hold on to things from childhood. So here is my list of the Top Ten things from Childhood that I wish I still had:

10. Naptime
9. Allowance for doing house work
8. Free room and board
7. Back to School Clothes
6. Summer Vacations that lasted 3 months
5. Measuring your age in 1/2 & 1/4 (i.e. I'm 12 & 3/4 old)
4. Flashlight/Freeze/etc. Tag
3. Snow days
2. Recess in the middle of every day
1. Tator Tots, Square pizza, and chocolate milk at Lunch for $2.25

As the Generalists loooovvvve lists, I genuinely enjoyed this post...

What I would add:
Getting the "backseat" on the Big Cheese (school bus) and - interestingly enough - having one of the last stops such that you got to chill with the homies for a grip on the ride home...AND if you were a bus patrol (like me), you would abuse your privileges and put your feet all up in the aisle

Note: Either you grew up in area much more prosperous than mine, or you got jipped, because my lunch never got close to $2.00 - $1.25 - $1.60 (which is crazy now that I think about it)...ohhh childhood

This blog sucks! I want a refund!!! LOL Just jokes, although your title reminds me of that song by that unattractive new Cleveland rapper (too much BET Rap City for me) "I'm a pimp, pimp, in my own, own, mind"
... oh, and you left off Double Dutch on your list :-D
